You know he can't be tested.
He can't be read or found.
Urban gray takes breath away.
He wants to push his pedal to the ground.
And the night's what's right.
Puts him at the wheel.
Well, I eat danger.
Any stranger is all right.
Feel hot to go like Jimmy O.
Dodging flying objects at the show.
And the lights make me fight.
In Detroit 442...
Maybe, baby, I could ride with you.
This town's a concrete factory and dad and mom look just like me.
I'm on the plant assembly line.
Too late now.
Too far behind!
You said you wanna hang around.
No one really cares where you go.
Take your time.
Things never change.
In Detroit 442 maybe baby I could ride with you.
One more to market, one more piggie, and they all, they all look just like me, yeah.
She's the Goddess of Darkness. Or something. Great track.

In spite of a couple of dodgy fades (forgiveable in an early music video) the production is dark, impressive, and atmospheric, and the fact that it is all down to set and costume design more impressive still. Watching it without the track, however, one would imagine something decidedly more gothic or experimental than the laidback and, to the end, jazzy number that accompanies it. It is encouraging (if a little disturbing) the extent to which Giger's art was and is embraced by the mainstream.

I hit puberty when Debbie Harry was mainstream. I think she jaded me into thinking a woman is nothing less than what she is. She, to this day is gorgeous. She is a perfect woman. The only other woman I think I could worship like her would be Souxsie or Joan Jett.

I just finished watching the doc you posted and took Chris Steins advise on which 'vid' to show on the way out...low and behold he is right, this would have been what was the best,or back fired.Giger's haunting,Debbie could never be replaced.
